Snowmobile Safaris
Take a trip across the winter landscape on a snowmobile! After an introduction to the workings of the snowmobile, you get to drive one along various tracks on our private land. The safari groups take a break at a hut, where refreshments and a snack are served and hot coffee is prepared over an open fire. The safari takes around 2 hours, including the break. Snowmobile safaris are also suitable for beginners.
Safaris on All-Terrain Vehicles (Quad Bikes)
An all year-round safari that actually improves as the weather gets worse! There are many routes available for all to enjoy. An ATV safari is perfect for those without earlier driving experience, as well as for the more advanced participants looking for a challenging adventure. During the break, snacks and hot coffee prepared over an open fire are served. The safari takes around 2 hours, including the break.
Motorboat Safaris
The motorboat safari is a speedy safari that takes in the beautiful landscape of Kyrösjärvi Lake. Once equipped with the proper outfit, instructions are given as participants are introduced to their boats. The route goes through the narrow passage of Uuraslahti, and a break including a snack and hot coffee is taken on shore. A more substantial meal is also available on request. After the break, the boats head back to the spa.
Combination Safaris
Combination safaris are a great way to experience more within the same time frame. From spring to autumn the safaris combine all-terrain vehicles and motorboats, with snowmobiles replacing the motorboats in winter time. Once equipped, half of the group will set out in the motorboats (or on snowmobiles) and the other half on ATVs. The two routes converge at the hut for a break and a snack, after which the two groups swap vehicles and head back to the spa. The minimum group size is 12 people.
Canoeing Safaris
The canoeing safari is an amazing nature experience on the beautiful Jyllinjoki River. The departure point is a 15 minute drive from the spa. After initial instruction participants canoe down the river, where part of the journey takes them through a canyon lined with dense forest. Not far from civilization, yet totally out in the wild! During the break, hot coffee is prepared over a campfire and snacks are served.
Horse Riding Safaris
Enjoy real horsepower! Choose from a variety of options, from hand-led riding to long treks, and up to several hours of programme. These safaris can also be themed, such as dressing up riders in cowboy gear. Ask us for further details!
Working Horse Experience
Teaching horse control skills takes place at nearby stables. Participants are given the opportunity to ride and drive carts pulled by heavy working horses. During the break the everyday lives of lumberjacks and the fascinating world of the lumber camps are explored. After coffee and a horseman's snack, you will return to the stables, and then to the spa. The duration of this safari is approximately 3-4 hours.
Pheasant Hunting Safaris (1.9. - 28.2.)
Take part in an exclusive hunting trip to Niinisalo, around half an hour’s drive from the spa. Try your hand at hunting under the supervision of a personal guide. Earlier experience is not necessary, nor is a hunting permit. Trained hunting dogs are used in the hunt - just watching them work is a unique experience! A snack will be provided during the break.
There is also a wide range of other safaris and excursions to choose from, and safari food menus can be tailored to your group. For example, fresh salmon or vendace from Kyrösjärvi Lake can be cooked over the campfire. Ask us for more information!
